Advocates for quality collision repair
The Capital District Autobody Association brings together collision repair professionals in New York's Capital District, the region around Albany, Schenectady, Troy, and Saratoga. Our mission is simple: raise the standard of collision repair in our region, and make sure both shops and drivers have the information they need when a vehicle is damaged in an accident.
Collision repair sits at the intersection of craftsmanship, technology, and insurance. Vehicles get more complex every year, repair procedures change with them, and drivers are often navigating an insurance claim for the first time. An association gives independent shops a collective voice and gives consumers a trustworthy point of reference.
What we stand for
- Safe, complete repairs. A repaired vehicle should be returned to its pre-accident condition, with safety systems restored and documented.
- Consumer choice. In New York, drivers have the right to choose the shop that repairs their vehicle. We work to make sure people know it.
- Professional standards. We promote training, proper equipment, and adherence to manufacturer repair procedures across the trade.
- Fair dealing. Repairers, insurers, and vehicle owners all benefit when claims are negotiated honestly and settled promptly.
